Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

We collect information you voluntarily provide to us. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, billing and payment information, business details, account credentials, responses to surveys or forms, and the contents of any messages you send us. You may also provide information when you enroll in a program, register for a workshop or webinar, request support, or subscribe to email or text message updates.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Log and device data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring and exit pages, date and time stamps, and pages viewed.
  • Cookie data — small data files placed on your device that help us remember your preferences, keep you signed in, measure campaign performance, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may limit some functionality.
  • Analytics data — aggregated usage information gathered through analytics and advertising tools (such as web analytics providers and social media pixels) that help us understand traffic patterns, measure the effectiveness of our marketing, and improve the Services.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and deliver our programs, products, and Services
  • Process transactions, enrollments, and billing
  • Create and manage your account and provide customer support
  • Communicate with you about your purchases, updates, schedules, and administrative matters
  • Send marketing communications, newsletters, and text messages where you have consented, and allow you to opt out at any time
  • Personalize and improve your experience with the Services
  • Analyze usage, measure performance, and conduct research and development
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and agreements

With Whom We May Share Your Information

We do not sell your information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, hosting, email and SMS delivery, customer support, analytics, and advertising, and who are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal and safety reasons — when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BJK University, our users, or others.
  • With your consent — when you direct us to share your information or otherwise consent to the sharing.

SMS/Text Messaging Data

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. This information will not be shared with any third parties, except for aggregators and providers of the Text Message services. Text STOP to any message to opt out.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right of access — to request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and to obtain a copy of it.
  • Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual retention obligations.
  • Right to restriction of processing — to request that we limit how we process your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Right to object — to object to our processing of your personal information, including processing for direct marketing purposes.
  • Right to data portability — to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Right to complain — to lodge a complaint with your local data protection or supervisory authority.
  • California residents — under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared; you may request deletion of your personal information; and you may exercise these rights without receiving discriminatory treatment. We do not sell personal information.
  • Nevada residents — Nevada law permits residents to opt out of the future sale of certain covered information. We do not sell covered information, but you may submit a request to be added to our internal do-not-sell record.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@bjkuniversity.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Security and Storage of Information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Third-Party Websites

The Services may contain links to websites, platforms, and applications operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party properties, and we are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

Transfer of Your Information

We are based in the United States, and the information we collect may be stored and processed in the United States or in other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions as described in this Privacy Policy.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") setting. Because no common industry standard for DNT signals has been adopted, our Services do not currently respond to DNT browser signals.

Children and Privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@bjkuniversity.com.

Contact Information & Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
